Cleaner Communities Awards 2014
Our beautiful garden won the Best Community Environmental Initiative in Fingal County Council's Cleaner Communities Awards 2014 on September 18th.
It is fantastic to see that our gorgeous garden is garnering such admiration. Everyone works so hard and it's brilliant to see that our efforts have not gone unnoticed.
The garden got a 200 euro voucher from Woodies as our prize so we will be thinking very carefully about how to spend it. Thanks to FCC Community Officer, Ann Mulligan for all her help and support.

2014 AUTUMN GARDEN OPENING TIMES
The garden is currently open
Wednesdays between 2.00pm - 4.00pm
Fridays between 2.00pm - 4.00pm
Sat and Sunday between 11.00am - 1.00pm
We are sometimes in the garden a little later (or earlier!) than the published times, especially in good weather so it might be worth your while coming up even if it's outside the hours above.
LIKE WHAT WE ARE DOING?
Want to help but don't have the time or inclination to get your hands dirty?
Although we are grateful to all our gardening Members we really appreciate any support you can offer us. For the busy, the harrassed or the gardening-phobic, why not become a Friend of the Garden? For a fee of 20 euro per year (or 10 euros for concessions) you will be have the satisfying knowledge that you are supporting a fantastic local amenity, can keep up to date with our progress, but suffer none of the guilt for not actually gardening! What's not to love about that? Click here to become a Friend.
Alternatively you can make a one off donation through Paypal, or visit us in the garden whenever we are open.
Pride of Place Awards Submission
Fingal County Council entered us into these national awards and we were visited by the Judges on a particularly warm and beautiful summer's afternoon on 22nd July. The bunting fluttered, the scones were laid out and the garden looked magnificent.
It's a National competition and we were entered into the Eco category so at this stage it's difficult to know whether we stand a chance - it will all depend on the competition. The awards aren't announced until November so we will just have to wait and see.

A huge and heartfelt thank you to all of wonderful members who contribute their time and their skills to make our garden such a beautiful place to be and such a successful initiative.
Sponsor a tree in our heritage orchard!
We are replanting the Orchard in the second part of the garden with a selection of native heritage variety fruit trees and bushes.
Already we have over 150 trees planted, nearly100 of which have been sponsored by friends of the Garden. But there are more to be done and lots of space!
